So you're here because you either want the spoiler or you've seen/read the Magic Knight Rayearth series by CLAMP, eh?! Well, here it is!

Day 9 - Best Anime Villain

Princess Emeraude

I think the Princess is the best villain because you don't expect it to be her! Throughout the series, you follow Hikaru, Umi and Fuu on their quest to become the true Magic Knights to rescue the Princess from the evil clutches of Zagato. But it's not until the very last few episodes that you find out that the Princess put herself in the prison and that Zagato was only protecting her from what the knights were created to do!

To kill her.

Being only able to pray for the peace of the world and not able to have feelings for anything else must have been so horrible on her! She loved Zagato so much that she was willing to kill herself instead of being the pillar of the world. And seeing how much he loved her back by becoming the bad guy when he really wasn't was just heartbreaking. But in the end they were able to be together. Though in a very tragic way.

Besides Cardcaptor Sakura, MKR was my other most top favorite anime by CLAMP. The plot twists and art were just amazing. And the characters, especially Princess Emeraude, were all so lovable.
